Last week was Pentecost and we celebrated the BIG WOW! We listened to the story and noticed how the guys who snuck off instead of staying with Jesus on Good Friday suddenly became strong and courageous and spoke out, sharing the Good News. The Holy Spirit will do that to people!
Sadly, in some churches, that one day is the day of the Holy Spirit and then she sits on a shelf for the rest of the year. Today’s reading of Proverbs 8:22-31 shows us that this isn’t what we are to do. Hers is not a one-day event, but rather, the Holy Spirit is always and forever. She was there at the beginning of creation, and she is with us now!
