One of the Scripture readings for last Sunday was Genesis 28:10-22a, and in the first few verses we are told that Jacob had a dream. Those three words, ‘had a dream’, are important. There are many stories of dreams in the Bible, and the people of that time paid attention to their dreams. A question we should ask is not ‘Why?’, but rather, ‘Do we?’
What might we be missing when we say and believe the words, “Oh, it was only a dream.”?
