Each year, we hold a Chrism Mass, during which the bishops bless the oils the clergy will use in the upcoming year.          After the service, these oils are packaged for distribution.

We often have special guests, as we did this year.

Sophia Divinity School Alumni!

CCOA has its own seminary, Sophia Divinity School, created in the 1950’s, designed to prepare candidates for ordination to CCOA as well as Independent Sacramental Jurisdictions. Pictured here are those current clergy who completed CCOA’s seminary’s full program before our ordinations. 

An Ordination

CCOA also accepts people with other training and from other jurisdictions for incardiation. Some people come to us with training without an ordination, and prepare for ordination as deacons, perhaps moving on to the priesthood. This occurred in 2023.  Others arrive as ordained deacons or priests and don’t need a second ordination. However, if incardinated as a deacon, one might complete further training leading to ordination as a priest. This was the case this year.
