Jesus said to him, “Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.”

This comes from John 20:19-31, the story of the one sometimes known as doubting Thomas. He would not believe that the other disciples had really seen Jesus until he saw him himself.

Even today, some don’t accept the Christian story because they find no documented evidence about Jesus, only the accounts written years later, which were based on oral history. However, we might well want to remember that something may not be accurate, but is still definitely true. In other words, even without real-time stylus and parchment records, much truth can be found in the teachings of Jesus.
