The Celtic Samhain, the Mexican Dia de los Muertos, and similar ways of remembering and honoring the dead in other cultures, all remind us that perhaps we are not alone. Our interest in the popular secular companies such as Ancestry, My Heritage, Family Search, and others, do the same. This weekend has also been a time of remembrance in the Western church as we celebrated All Hallows Eve, All Saints Day, and All Souls Day.
Perhaps many, if not all, cultures and belief systems agree that we are surrounded by “all the company of heaven,” words said in some liturgies.
We are not alone!
