The Catholic Apostolic Church of Antioch joins the millions around the world in mourning the death of Pope Francis. His life and ministry exemplified the values Jesus taught and called us to live in our lives. His concern for the poor, the disenfranchised, and people on the margins of society bore unmistakable witness to the message of Christ, providing a sobering antidote to the insensitivity of the myriad oppressive, callous, and exploitive systems of the world. The world has lost a great and humble spiritual leader. May his example continue to inspire us, that we may unashamedly and unabashedly follow his example. May his soul, and the souls of all the departed, be at peace.
